About the CIPD

The CIPD is the professional body for HR and people development. The CIPD has been setting the benchmark for excellence in people and organization development for more than 100 years. It has more than 135,000 members across the world, provides thought leadership through independent research on the world of work, and offers professional training and accreditation for those working in HRM and learning and development.

The CIPD is committed to being the leading, best-practice professional institute in the UK and Ireland. It exists to help its members improve the performance of their organizations and through them help increase the productivity levels of the whole economy. Its central message is that “people mean businessâ€‌. There is now strong evidence that progressive people management and development policies are the key to sustainable success in the emerging service-sector oriented knowledge economy.

The Institute is responsible for the professional qualifications of the personnel profession and also provides a range of leading-edge training courses, workshops and seminars designed for personnel specialists, trainers, line managers, and support staff at all levels.

For many organizations, membership of the CIPD is considered to be a pre-requisite for all those aspiring to a worthwhile career in HR and Training. In the UK today, there is little point in even applying for a job in this area without the first level of membership of the CIPD, so much is the power of a CIPD qualification.

A CIPD qualification brings with it an identity in itself coupled with respect from colleagues and peers, and indicates a professional approach to business.

The time has long gone when people in HR can simply stand back and watch what is happening, take a back seat and adopt a reactive role in the organization. The role and function of the HR professional has changed, radically and forever. They must be at the forefront of change, driving it, leading it, – and living it!

Our selected CIPD provider also maintains regular contact with the sponsoring client to advice on the progress of each participant. Participants will normally complete their qualifications within 5/6 months (or sooner).
